Hello My Name Is...
This is my sixth year as the nurse at Franklin Avenue School and I am honored and excited to be here taking care of your children. I have more than 40 years of experience working with children. I started as a pediatric nurse at Bay State Medical Center for ten years, then worked as a visiting nurse in the community. For the past 16 years I have been working as a school nurse. I received my degree in nursing from Fitchburg State University many years ago and just recently obtained a Master's degree from American International College. I live with my husband, Paul and a trained therapy Labradoodle named Casey. We have two daughters and six grandchildren. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, quilting, camping, and spending time with my children and grandchildren. I continue to find my time at Franklin Avenue School both challenging and rewarding. Please check out the Westfield Public Schools website under the "parents" section for health related forms and information, such as physical exam forms and medication order forms, as well as tips for when to keep your child home from school. Feel free to stop by or call if you have any concerns or questions regarding your child's health. My number is 572-6427.
My personal message: Children are NOT a distraction from more important work. They are THE MOST important work.
